The group under the aegis of All Workers Convergence, AWC, has urged the Nigeria Labor Congress and Trade Union Congress to declare a three-day nationwide warning strike.
In a statement by its Coordinator, Andrew Emelieze, the group said the warning strike which will last between Monday, September 12 and Thursday, September 15 this month is in solidarity with the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Emelieze expressed anger at the fact that despite the actions of various workers’ unions in the country make the government resolve the over six-month-old ASUU strike, nothing positive has come out.
It will be recalled that the Nigeria Labor Congress had earlier declared a two-day national protest in solidarity with ASUU.
