The Oyo State polity has begun experiencing a series of significant changes, especially in the political space.
This is as the Oyo State All Progressives Congress has alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party and the Independent National Electoral Commission have plotted to frustrate voters on the day of the election by changing the location of some polling stations.
While substantiating the allegations against PDP and INEC, the Oyo State All Progressives Congress spokesman, Olawale Shadare said the opposition party in the state is in possession of an intelligence report revealing plots of electoral fraud.
He noted that the plot to change the location of some polling stations would disenfranchise several electorates.
Reacting to the allegations, the Oyo State People’s Democratic Party spokesman, Akeem Olatunji said the opposition party in the state has only revealed its true intentions to rig the coming polls, stressing that there is no need for PDP to rig as the people are enjoying the dividends of democracy through its government.
Also reacting, the Head of the department, voter education and publicity, Oyo state INEC, Alaba Adeniyi while debunking the claims by the APC said there’s no need for panic as the coming 2023 polls will be free and credible.
It is therefore essential to state that all stakeholders have a level playing field that will ensure a free and credible election come 2023.
