Security operatives in Oyo State, have apprehended suspected criminals responsible for the vandalization of Light Up Oyo Project Installations in the state.
Briefing our correpondent on the arrest, a security operative who pleaded anonymity, said the men were arrested through the combined effort of the Ministry Energy officials and a vigilante group.
He added that the activities of the vandals had led to `incapacitation’ of the light up in some local governments some months ago.
He said that the suspects had been handed over to the appropriate authorities, to face trial.
The security operative urged members of the public to always provide information on the activities of criminals and saboteurs to appropriate authorities for necessary action.
