The event which converged Lovers of Lagos at the grand ball room of the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites has an atmosphere of serenity as guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet.
Convener of the award, who also unveiled his book- The Best of Lagos, relived insights of his vision that was borne out from his sheer love and passion to showcase the unsung sights and sounds of Lagos and indeed Nigeria.
Dunsin Oluwasiju a well-travelled enthusiast, also revealed how blessed Nigeria is naturally, explaining that the tourism destination and experiences cannot be exhausted in Lagos and beyond.
He called on government to harness the potentials as it is a big foreign exchange earner and a platform to tackle the staggering unemployment and the double digit inflation, which the nation is faced with.
The Director-General/CEO of the National Commission for Museums and Monuments, Prof. Abba Isa Tijani as well as the Managing director of Goge Africa, Isaac Moses graced the occasion.
Professor Tijani hinted that the federal government has embarked on collaborative measures with other nations to repatriate stolen artefacts back to the country, while the tourism enthusiast, reeled out the numerous destinations which makes Lagos tick.
Highlights of the event were the unveiling of the convener’s book: The Best of Lagos and presentation of awards to people and places that the state what it is today.
