The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Information Chapel, NUJIC, has commiserated with the State Chairman of the union, Alh. Ademola Babalola, on the passing of his mother, Alhaja Wulemot Babalola.
The matriach of the Babalola family, who is survived by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, reportedly died on Saturday night in Ibadan. She was 76.
According to Demola Babalola, she was a devouted Muslim and respected Otun Iya Adeen of Palupo Muslim community, Ona-Ara Local Government Area.
In a condolence message jointly signed by NUJIC Chairman, Ismail Fasasi and the Secretary, Olamide Adeniji, on Sunday, they condoled with the Babalola family and entire Palupo community on the passing of the renowned matriarch of the Muraina Oladiti Babalola’s family.
NUJIC said that the deceased was a great mother and an accomplished Nigerian who dedicated her life to the service of mankind through her religion and lifestyle.
The Chapel urged the media expert and the family to take solace in the fact that their mother lived a life of sublime accomplishments and impacted society.
“On behalf of the entire members of NUJIC, we mourn the exit of the matriarch of the Muraina Oladiti Babalola’s family.
“The news of the passing of Alhaja Wulematu Aweni Babalola came as a shock. We know that death is the ultimate end of all mortals; therefore, we encourage the children of Mama and all who mourn her demise to be encouraged by the good legacies she left behind.
“Please accept our comdolences,” NUJIC said.
