* Says no Victor, no vanquished
Following, the dismissal of the case filed by some aggrieved members of the People’s Democratic Party ( PDP) against the ward congress of the party held in 2024 in Ogun State, Arch Oladele Olaleye has called for unity.
The judge, Hon. Justice AJ Adeyemi ruled in favor of the legitimacy of the PDP 2024 ward congress, affirming the democratic process that led to the election of our current leadership.
Olaleye in a congratulatory statement issued in Abeokuta, the State capital, appealed to former Chairman of the party, Hon Sikirulai Ogundele, Otunba Jimi Lawal, and Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade, to use this outcome as a totem of introspection, sheathe their sword and come back to their pride of place in the State in PDP.
He said the warring big wigs of the party, are not each other enemies but the ruling party that has placed an economic chokehold on the hardworking people of the state.
Olaleye congratulated the Chairman, Hon. Abayomi Tella and Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, “our apex leader, for this well-deserved victory”.
The statement reads: “I congratulate the Ogun State PDP members, ably led by Hon. Abayomi Tella, our indefatigable State Chairman, and Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, our apex leader, for this well-deserved victory.
Once again, I appeal to our leaders, the trio of Hon. Sikirulahi Ogundele, Otunba Jimi Lawal, and Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade, to use this outcome as a totem of introspection, sheathe their sword and come back to their pride of place in the Ogun State PDP”.
“We are not each other’s enemies; our real enemy is the ruling party that has placed an economic chokehold on the hardworking people of our state.
Let this ruling remind us of our shared commitment to the well-being of the people of Ogun State.
Together, we are stronger and more resilient. God bless us all,” the statement concluded.
